NORTHn front of the camera

for the first time I’ve been in front of a movie camera & did it twice in one yr

...Crazy experience, being on the other side of the lens!!

 went out to Cape Brett Lightouse (my home)

& was interviewed about life on a lighthouse by Marcus Lush for his new doco NORTH new doco NORTH

My Friend Andrew from DOC up there got me this exciting gig

& we both went out there to be filmed/interviewed

Aired episode 5 on north still on tv ondemnd if you want to check it out

Then Christoph a film maker from Germany,

is making a film about my life on a lighthouse too

Still have a few more days filming covering my life in ak  

now working as photographer as a grown up ... HA HA ...To much fun !!

Still I’d rather be the one behind the camera!!!!!

I’ve been a little slacko getting things like our website updated this year

But have planned to do update over xmas break so check it out in the new year

Lots of news from Mykonos, this years road trips we’ve been on, & lot’s of new pics etc

It’s been an easier year not so many visits to hospitals etc

No more chemo or radiation & especially cool to have hair again !!!

…I’m getting stronger every day!

we also visited the longest foot bridge in the southren hemisphere 

 in Whanahaki Northland

another busy year

it's off to fish we go!

i took a few hours out from all the fishing & tuatuas hunting

to take a trip down the beach to find some birds to photograph

Mykonos enjoyed the holiday too

 well except for the rather cramped ride home

due to our shopping spree!

I got the opportunity to photograph the Hawks

at Maimai vineyards

Later in the yr  Myk & I went on a working holiday

which took us to Hamilton Taupo Rotorua Wellington

& back to  Napier where we stay at the

 wonderful peaceful Berach B&B

owned by my fabulous cousin Paul & his gorgeous wife Meg

where we where spoilt with breakfast in bed

scrumpious meals & lots of laughs

Well another year has flown past

& Christmas time is here again!

 we would like to take this opportunity to

Christmas 2007

I headed out to Cape Brett Lighthouse for a week holiday

this is where I grew up

so was lovely to be back home again

I took this trip out with the DOC team

who are in the process of renovating the lighthouse

& clearing the tracks around the station

Did lots a fishing,  photographing, wine & laughter,

climbing, climbing & more climbing!!

as you can see the kaykuia grass is up to, la our waists here really hard going up hill, heaps of fun sliding down!

 the weather picked up 

& we had to walk out to Deep Water Cove

& ended in a very rough boat ride home to Whaitangi

Sensational to be out there again

Nige relaxing on the deck we just built

crayfish, wine & sunset for diner...

doesn't get any better than this !
